Jake Cardigan's quest to piece together his fractured life continues in the first part of the series' second story arc. Jake's plans are interrupted when a new, deadlier strain of Tek called "Grease" is infecting robots, threatening the Central Net. Reluctant to help, Jake's hand is forced when he must choose between finding his true memories and saving the Avatar Beth Kittridge from the Tek virus.
